PARTICIPATING IN THE 2025 RALLY FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH IN DC!
This summer I had the incredible opportunity to intern at Yosemite, a biotech venture fund founded by Reed Jobs, which is dedicated to accelerating cancer research. Yosemite’s unique model combines philanthropic research grants with early-stage biotech investments, turning breakthrough science into real treatments, with a goal of making cancer non-lethal in our lifetimes.
One of the highlights was our recent trip to D.C. for the Rally for Medical Research, with 400+ health organizations, led by the American Association for Cancer research and co-sponsored by Yosemite, Standup2Cancer, and others. I was part of conversations with leaders in the field, advocated for sustained NIH funding, and met with senators to discuss the critical importance of lifesaving research at hospitals like St. Jude. It was especially powerful to hear Reed’s keynote on how NIH-backed discoveries have transformed cancer care — from cell therapies that make once-fatal blood cancers treatable, to targeted drugs that extend survival.
Pausing my work with Yosemite till next summer, I’m more motivated than ever to keep pushing for progress in the cancer landscape. From soccer juggling to biotech funding, I’ll do whatever it takes!
I’m well on my way to hitting my $1Million mark for kids with cancer, and I hope you’ll help me get there! As always, if you want to donate to my fundraiser to help St. Jude’s global fight, via the research and treatment protocols they share freely with institutions worldwide, you can do that here.
Thank you for your support!
